iOS 16 is Found on Most iPhones!
According to Apple’s data, as of May 31, 2023, a remarkable 81% of all iOS devices are currently running iOS 16. A total of 13% of devices are still operating on iOS 15, while the remaining 6% are on earlier versions, most likely iOS 14. In terms of iOS devices released within the last four years, a staggering 90% are running on iOS 16, while 8% and 2% are utilizing iOS 15 and earlier versions, respectively.
Turning to iPadOS, the report indicates that 71% of all iPadOS devices are currently running iPadOS 16. However, 20% of devices are still running on iPadOS 15, and the remaining 9% are on earlier versions of iPadOS. When considering iPadOS devices released within the past four years, an impressive 76% are utilizing iPadOS 16, with 18% and 6% running iPadOS 15 and prior versions, respectively.
These adoption rate figures reflect Apple’s ability to efficiently roll out updates across its wide range of devices, showcasing the continued support provided to each iPhone and iPad long after its initial launch.
