Ugh, WhatsApp is down (and you’re definitely not alone)
Hey everyone, it looks like WhatsApp is acting up again! If you’re trying to send a message and all you see is that annoying little clock icon, don’t worry – you’re not going crazy. People all over the world are having the same issue.
We checked it out ourselves and, yep, those messages are definitely not going through. Sites that track these things, like DownDetector, are blowing up with reports of the outage. It seems like it started somewhere around 11:40 PM IST.
Luckily, it looks like Facebook and Instagram are still working fine, so you’ve got somewhere to complain about WhatsApp being down! The hashtag #WhatsAppDown is already trending.
Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, just admitted they’re having some technical difficulties. They didn’t say exactly what’s wrong, but it sounds like there’s a problem with their servers.
UPDATE: It looks like WhatsApp might be coming back to life! Let us know in the comments if it’s working for you again.
